SS Tarpon, Florida’s sixth State Underwater Archaeological Preserve was a twin-screwed steam that went down in a storm off the coast of Panama City Beach in 1937. The remains of the wreck lie parallel to the shoreline in 95 feet of water on the hard bottom terrain.
