The 247-foot long steel tanker-barge sank in 1940 and today rests partially buried off Bradenton Beach in shallow water.  Regina, also known as the “Sugar Wreck” or “Molasses Barge,” is Florida’s tenth Underwater Archaeological Preserve and is popular with snorkelers and divers due to its proximity to the beach.
